If you are a new training provider interested in delivering the IAQG AATT Training Course in your market, or if you're an existing training provider looking to qualify additional training providers, this article outlines the related steps, in alignment with the requirements in AS9104/3 (9104-3:2007) and the upcoming IA9104/3.

NOTE: This article does NOT apply to auditors or auditor candidates, only to Training Providers and their Trainers/Evaluators.

Training Provider (TP Qualification)

According to AS9104/3 (9104-3:2007), Training Providers must be approved by an IAQG-approved Training Provider Approval Body (TPAB) and meet the related requirements of the standard.  Prior to completing this process, Training Providers are encouraged to read the requirements of the standard to ensure they are able to conform with all included requirements.

Step 1: TPAB Approval

  • Contact the appropriate TPAB for your region.  (The current list of IAQG-approved TPABs can be accessed through OASIS.  Free account registration required.)
  • The TPAB will evaluate your organization's compliance with IAQG-defined requirements in 9104/3 and supplemental resolutions issued by the IAQG.
  • TPAB approval is mandatory before delivering AATT courses.

Step 2: Submit TP Agreement

  • Complete and submit the Training Provider Agreement form to Plexus International.  (To request this form, please submit a Support Request.)
  • This form defines the roles, responsibilities, and commitments of the TP.
  • Providers should complete the TPAB approval process first to ensure they meet the requirements outlined in 9104/3. Plexus cannot finalize approval or grant access to the IAQG Training Website until the TP is officially listed in the IAQG OASIS database.

Trainer/Evaluator Qualification

All trainer/evaluators must meet the Instructor Qualification requirements in AS9104/3 (9104-3:2007) clause 6.4.  In particular, please note the clause 6.4.4 requirement that at least one instructor at each class must have a minimum of 4 years of relevant aerospace industry experience within the last 10 years at the time of application.  In addition to these general requirements, the IAQG AATT program requires an alignment process outlined below.

Step 1: Complete AATT Course

  • The IAQG AATT course requires two qualified Trainer/Evaluators.
  • Successfully complete and pass all AATT course requirements, including:
    • Online examinations
    • Interview assessment
  • Completion is verified by Plexus before proceeding to the ASDE course.

Note: The trainer qualification process below can be completed at the same time as the TP review process, as outlined in 5.1 TP Qualification (Step 2). TP will coordinate with Plexus to determine who their selected trainers are and ensure they have met the pre-qualification requirements.

Step 2: Sign Trainer/Evaluator Agreement

  • Complete and submit the Trainer/Evaluator Agreement to Plexus.  (To request this form, please submit a Support Request.)
  • This formalizes the trainer’s responsibilities and IAQG-aligned conduct.

Step 3: Complete ASDE Course

  • Successfully complete the IAQG-sanctioned Aerospace Space Defense Evaluator (ASDE) course (5 days).
    • This course helps Trainer/Evaluator learn how to deliver AATT materials and activities, as well as how to score the Interview portion of the final exam.

Step 4: OASIS Update

  • Plexus notifies the IAQG Training Leader of successful completion of ASDE course and signed Trainer/Evaluator Agreement.
