On Tuesday, 10 January 2023, we launched the 9104-1:2022 / 9101:2022 Delta Requirements Training and Examination Bundle (hereafter "Delta Bundle") in English, with other languages to follow based on translation availability.  This document attempts to answer general questions related to this launch:

Q: Who is required to purchase and complete the Delta training and exam?
A: According to ICOT Resolution SR004, all Authenticated AQMS Auditors (AAs and AEAs) in the IAQG ICOP scheme must successfully complete this IAQG-mandated delta training content "within 12 months of the the date training release[s] in an applicable IAQG supported language."

The IAQG Training website will recognize your status as an authenticated auditor based on one of two factors:

  1. Successful completion of the 9100:2016 Delta Training program, or
  2. Successful completion of the 9100:2016 AATT program since 2017.

Therefore, you must log into the IAQG Training website using the same account used to complete one of these two requirements.  If you need help accessing your account, please visit this support article.

If you are a new prospective auditor attending the AATT training class or have not yet completed your AATT retakes, please visit this article.

Q: What are the major changes covered in this training?

A: The completely-reworked 9104-1:2022 standard introduces a new Organization Certification Analysis Process (OCAP) that significantly changes the way CBs work with certified organizations to plan audit programs and determine audit time.  It also incorporates changes to certification site structure options, introduces a new Process Based Surveillance / Recertification Process (PBS/RP) to replace the discontinued ASRP, increases accommodations for Information and Communication Technology (ICT, previously known as CAAT), simplifies the requirements for Integrated Management Systems (IMS) of multiple AQMS standards, and incorporates many other ICOT resolutions and FAQs.  These changes bring the IAQG ICOP scheme in line with the many updated ISO and IAF standards and documents that underpin it.  The 9101:2022 team worked closely with the 9104-1:2022 team to align the two standards with each other and to make many improvements based on stakeholder and survey feedback.  While the requirements placed on certified organizations have not changed, these updates will have a significant impact on the way CB auditors conduct ICOP audits and increase the value of these audits to the ASD industry.

Q: How much does the Delta Bundle cost?

A: The Delta Bundle costs $595 USD.  Qualified auditors can visit the product page and log in with their existing IAQG Training account to complete the purchase.  Payment can be provided by credit card, bank transfer, or check.  We will grant access once payment is received.  Proctoring Fees for the final examination (delivered via Remote Proctor) are included in the purchase price.

Q: What should I do if I am having issues making my purchase?

A: Please review our Payment Issues FAQ.

Q: What does the Delta Bundle include?

A: The program includes two primary components:

  • 9104-1:2022 / 9101:2022 Delta Requirements Training
  • 9104-1:2022 / 9101:2022 Delta Final Examination

Auditors need to successfully complete these two components to receive the certificate recognized by their Auditor Authentication Body (AAB).

The bundle also includes an "OCAP and PBS/RP Online Application Training" component that is planned to be released at a later date.

For more information, please visit the Delta Bundle product page and review the "Program Overview" section.

Q: How will long will I have to complete the training and exam after purchasing?

A: Besides the deadline established by ICOT as explained above, you will have access to the online training for up to one year from the purchase date.

Q: Do I need to buy a copy of the 9104-1:2022 and 9101:2022 standards to complete the Delta Bundle?

A: The online training and exam provide integrated access to the standards while in the training interface.  You will be able to (and encouraged to) read the standard using this feature while completing the training and may refer to it during the exam.  However, these standards cannot be downloaded, printed, shared, or used outside the training/examination context.  We strongly recommend all auditors purchase their own copy of the standards from their local Standards Publication Body.

Q: After logging in, it says that I am "not eligible to purchase this item at this time."  Why?

A: The program is only available to purchase for English accounts that successfully completed either the previous Delta Training or the 9100:2016 AATT since 2017.  If you are not eligible to purchase the Delta Bundle, it may be for one of the following reasons:

  1. Your account is set to a language other than English.
  2. You are using a different account than the one used to previously complete the AATT or 9100:2016 Delta.  (Did you create a new account because your email address changed?)
  3. You did not successfully complete the 9100:2016 AATT or the 9100:2016 Delta including any required retakes.

If you did not successfully complete one of the training prerequisites, you must pass those requirements first or start over as  a new auditor.

Q: Will the training be made available to IAQG Member Companies?

A: Yes, the training component of the Delta Bundle will be made available to IAQG Member Companies on the IAQG Member Company Training Site in the near future.  (The exam will not be available.)

Q: Do IAQG Other Party Assessors need to take this Delta Bundle?

A: No, this bundle is intended for authenticated auditors.  Training opportunities for OP Assessors will be announced separately.

Q: I am not a qualified auditor, but I am interested in taking the training for general knowledge.  Can I purchase it?

A: This is not possible at this time, but the training may be made available in other ways in the future.  Please stay tuned.

Q: Do AATT trainer/evaluators need to complete the Delta Bundle?

A: Yes, as part of the qualification for the updated AATT program, all AATT trainer/evaluators will be required to successfully complete the Delta Bundle prior to delivering the updated AATT material.  More details about the requalification process will be provided in due course, but we recommend that all trainer/evaluators take the Delta Bundle as soon as possible once available in their language.

Q: When will the Delta Bundle release in my language?

A: Please review this support article.

Q: Can I change my language to English so that I can complete the Delta Training in English now?

A: It is possible if you send us a request via a Support Ticket.  However, if the training is planned to be launched in your language at a later date, we will not be able to provide you with extra time when completing the exam.  We encourage all auditors to wait until the content is launched in their own language before completing this training and exam.  (ICOT has set the deadline for completion to be one year after the training release in each language, so you will not be penalized for this publication delay.)

Q: Where can I find answers to questions related to the exam?

A: Please visit our Delta Exam FAQ page.

Q: What should I do if I have other questions?

A: Please review the other sections of our Knowledgebase or submit a support ticket.
